About
Everyone’s wearing one
The confident coworker. The charming ex. The friend who’s always “fine.” You.
Everyone wears a mask. Jung called it the persona, Latin for an actor’s mask. Most of the time it’s harmless: it’s how we get through work, dinner parties and family holidays. But some people wear theirs to take something from you. And most of us forgot we put ours on at all.
This channel and site take the masks off. We look at the psychology behind the faces people show the world:
- manipulation and influence, and how to spot it while it’s happening
- narcissism and other dark personality traits
- power dynamics at work, in relationships and in families
- the persona and the shadow: the mask you wear yourself
How we work
- Real sources only. Every quote is checked against the original text and every study is cited, so you can verify it. No invented quotes, no misused statistics.
- Explain, never exploit. We show how a tactic works so you can recognize it and respond, not so you can use it on someone.
- Plain English. Clear, unflinching and practical. No jargon for its own sake.
Everything here is educational. It isn’t therapy, diagnosis or medical advice. If you’re in an unsafe situation, please contact a local support service.
